Information and Discussions are geared towards Infant and Toddler Caregivers of ECE Programs
Everyone has a bias or even multiple biases. While implicit bias is human nature, it is also an individual’s responsibility to identify their implicit bias’s, understand where they came from, become aware of them and learn ways to ensure you aren’t letting those biases interfere with your early childhood program management, classroom planning and management and building positive relationships with families. Participants will interact with each other through facilitated discussions on implicit biases and interactive activities developed to raise awareness of implicit biases. Throughout this two-hour session, participants will utilize an action planning guide to support them as they take this information back to their classrooms and teams to work towards positive and sustainable change.
This session is held on Zoom. In order to gain ECE-TRIS credit, you will need to:
- Be on the Zoom app for the entire length of the training with your video on.
- Participate in discussions and break out groups
- It is best if you are able access Zoom on a laptop. If you do not have a laptop available, a phone will work but a laptop is the preferred method.
